WHAT A SURPRISE

Is there really more to Julius than meets the eye?
Can Buster find his Funk and Wagonels?
What kind of special work could Crusher have been involved in?
Will any of this really matter after the oil spill in the Gulf wipes out the entire Coast and coats it in 40 weight motor oil?
More Rednecks. More Fun.

A Note From Bo

I have added a new link at the right of the page. It is to a new page I have set up called Gatorhead. I will only be posting my 3 panel comics on that one. You might want to check it out and leave me a comment.

Don't forget to check out Rambler, JB-Stuff and Wisdom for living too. These guys do a great job. Leave them a comment and let them know.

Bo.

CHECK OUT THE OTHER STUFF

Hi, I'm Bo Lumpkin and I've been thinkin'.

As you read this today I will be recovering (hopefully) from havin' my arteries roto-rooted out to get rid of some blockage. Hopefully I will be goin' home even as you read these words of wisdom.

Today is my anniversary, I have been married 38 years to the best woman in the world. We spent our 30th anniversary in the hospital with me gettin' my first defibrillator and she has decided that she would really rather go out somewhere to eat on our anniversaries besides the hospital cafeteria. I'm inclined to agree with that.
I don't know if you have noticed but for the benefit of new viewers (and it also saves a bunch of writin') I have been re-posting some of the older articles from the archives on the weekends.
Ya'll be sure and check out the other blogs that I follow and take the time to leave them some comments. All us bloggers like comments because that lets us know people are really readin' this stuff.
The guys publishing these blogs are doin' a great job and they do it because they enjoy it. Check them out.
Ya'll don't forget to leave comments here either. I like to know what ya'll are thinkin'. Ya'll can email me too at bo@bolumpkin.com or at bolumpkin@gmail.com . It ain't hard and it means a lot to all of us to hear from you.
Lately I have been posting more comics than articles. I would kind of like to know which ones you all like best so let me know.
I hope to be back to something close to normal (whatever that is for me) by next Tuesday or Wednesday. Until then ya'll let me know whatchall been thinkin'.
Bo

NICE THOUGHTS

Hi, I'm Bo Lumpkin and I've been thinkin'. Actually the thinkin' that I've been doin' this week has been kind of pleasant.
It has been a busy week spent mostly with my wife, my younguns and my grandson and I reckon it don't get much better than that. During the course of the busy week I haven't had time to watch much news.
When you don't watch the news you have a tendency not to think much about what else is goin' on in the world and you concentrate on what goes on around you.
I reckon that's pretty good thinkin. It's nice in the mornin' when you leave to have a wife and a dog that both hate to see you go and are glad to see you when you come home. It's nice to have a son who wants to have lunch with his folks in the middle of the week.
It is a joy to have a daughter and a grandson who love to spend the weekend and join in trollin' for treasures with the old folks.
Yep, I'm Bo Lumpkin and I've been thinkin'. Missin' all that stuff on the news that usually keeps my mind in an uproar ain't really all that bad. The old sayin' might be right, "No news is good news." That's what I've been thinkin'. Watchall been thinkin'? Leave me a comment or write me an email to
bo@bolumpkin.com or bolumpkin@gmail.com.

Other Good Stuff

Hi, I'm Bo Lumpkin and I've been thinkin'.
Sometimes we power bloggers just assume that everyone knows how to negotiate their way around our sites. I ain't insinuatin' that ya'll are stupid but if someone don't tell you something you just might not know.
If you move over an look at the right side of the page you can see that the first thing there is Bo Lumpkin Movies. You can click on that and it takes you to the site where I store the finished product of Gatorhead Productions.
Then you will see that my list of blog links has increased. You can click on these links and they will take you to some pretty good stuff.
Most of you are familiar with Rambler. Rambler is a veritable genius with words and he is downright humorous. He is also an extremely nice person and I have grown to like him just as much as if he were a Southerner.
Wisdom For Living is by Ron Scarbro. Ron is a newspaper columnist and writes some powerful political commentary that is filled with conservative ideas and the plain truth about things. If you haven't checked it out, look at it and go through some of his post and I am sure you will enjoy them. He also seems to be a pretty nice fellow even if he did move from the South to the cold country.
JBSTUFF is by Jeremy Burkes, a good friend of mine who is just starting to draw comics. He has only been working on this for about two months and I think he is doing a good job. Check out his stuff and leave him a comment or two and encourage him. We need folks who will produce good clean humor on the internet.
The votes have been pouring in for the Gator Awards. One or two pours in about every day and people are taking my advice and voting early and often. The next category is Comic Monologues.
The nominees are:
Boomer
Bo Lumpkin
Warren the Weather Wolf
Ya'll leave me a comment or send me an email to bo@bolumpkin.com or bolumpkin@gmail.com.
I'm Bo Lumpkin and I've been thinkin', ain't this internet stuff a real hoot for some of us old geezers who ain't got much else to do?

SOMEBODY HAS TO WATCH THEM

Hi, I'm Bo Lumpkin and I've been thinkin'. Seniority don't always mean a whole lot. Just cause someone has been around a long time don't mean they know more than everyone else. I've known lots of people who thought they had 30 years experience when really all they had was one year experience 30 times.
Boomer came by about lunchtime the other day and I offered him a sandwich. He ate it like he was starvin' and I gave him another one so he could eat it slow enough to taste a little. "You sure do seem like you are awful hungry," I said.
"Yes sir," he explained, "Mom's gone to a fishin' tournament with dad and Clymenestra is doin' the cookin' for us."
"Well," I asked, "Can't Clymenestra cook."
"No, sir, she must think the smoke alarm is the timer for her cooking."
I asked, "Are ya'll staying by yourselves while your parents are gone?"
"Yes sir, they said Arlis is 17 and Clymenestra is 13 and I'm 8 so we ought to be alble to take care of ourselves. I guess I had better get on home now."
"Are you afraid they'll worry about you?" I asked.
"No sir, I just don't like to leave 'em alone without somebody to watch after 'em."
I am Bo Lumpkin' and I been thinkin', sometimes in some groups the youngest might be the wisest. Whatchall think?
