Hi, I'm Bo Lumpkin and I've been thinkin'. Actually the thinkin' that I've been doin' this week has been kind of pleasant.
It has been a busy week spent mostly with my wife, my younguns and my grandson and I reckon it don't get much better than that. During the course of the busy week I haven't had time to watch much news.
When you don't watch the news you have a tendency not to think much about what else is goin' on in the world and you concentrate on what goes on around you.
I reckon that's pretty good thinkin. It's nice in the mornin' when you leave to have a wife and a dog that both hate to see you go and are glad to see you when you come home. It's nice to have a son who wants to have lunch with his folks in the middle of the week.
It is a joy to have a daughter and a grandson who love to spend the weekend and join in trollin' for treasures with the old folks.

What you have around you is what God gave you. The news is what it is whether you know about it or not. Just remember the country in your prayers and figure God can handle it without you worrying about it. Then go on enjoying your good gifts.
ReplyDeleteI pray for our country and our leaders daily. There are a lot of things I can't do anything about but I do talk regularly to the One who can.
