Guest Creatures of Habit

The National Free Press’ Editorial Cartoonist. Spilling ink on drawing boards since 1979. Delivering the funnies to the masses through the printed pages since 1988. This is the awesome MJ. MJ has some awesome stuff and you can find it at

http://blog.nationalfreepress.org/NFPCartoonist/

MJ’s cartoons and illustrations can be seen throughout various media sources internationally.

The National Free Press (Canada)
The Nashville Free Press (U.SA.)
Newsblaze Publications (U.S.A.)
Newropeans Magazine (Paris, France)

The cartoons produced through PC Studios have been featured in “Best Editorial Compilations”, Comic books (U.K., Britian), and Anthologies as well as newspapers, magazines, and exhibitions through Museums and Galleries.

MJ is extra talented and has been a great source of inspiration to me. He has been a fan of Creatures of Habit and actually his guest comic blows me away. Those that have graciously donated guest comics have done such a good job that I am going to feel a little self concious when I start back to posting my own stuff.... Oh wait.. I have always felt self concious so for now just be sure and check out MJ's stuff.

TAKING A BREAK

Bearman of beartoons.com at http://beartoons.com/ has generously contributed this guest strip. I am hoping this will not have to be used too much but since I am in a slump it could come in real handy.

Bearman is a political cartoonist who calls himself a "hack cartoonist". If he is I hope to someday work my way up to being a "hack cartoonist". He is one of the nicest and most helpful people I know of in the webcomic world. He is always ready to help others and encourage them. He is always promoting charitable work of some kind. He is talented and funny but more than that he is an all around good guy. If you haven't visited his site go to http://beartoons.com/
Thanks Bearman...

"The Rooster Roost"

Renovation and furnishing of the new Gatorhead Studio and my man cave, the Rooster Roost are coming along great. If I could just get over this mental block I have I could begin using them.
These is a drafting table I picked up at a rummage sale for $8. The wooden filing cabinet was $2.
This is a desk I picked up at a yard sale for $3. I wanted to keep my roll top desk at the other house. I still have a little work to do on it.

This is the Kitchen in my man cave. I will update with more pictures later.

This will be great for napping and watching TV in my man cave. I haven't got around to decorating the wall behind the couch yet.

This is the corner I have been decorating in my man cave, The Rooster Roost, Here are some more of them

I certainly can't blame my productivity on the fact that I don't have a good place to work. Maybe when I get it completely finished the creative juices will begin flowing again.
I have more pictures and I might post some of them later.
Bo

Update

I am still posting comics on the other site at http://www.gatorhead.wordpress.com I have a couple more and then I have to start doin' a heap of drawin'. I have been hard at work... entertainin' company this weekend and workin' on my man cave, The Rooste Roost, most of yesterday. I am about to get the studio in the Rooster Roost to a point where I can actually start doin' some drawin' and writin' and creatin' like I am plannin' on doin'.
I hope y'all will be patient with me. I really enjoyed George Ford's www.addanaccity.com guest strip. If you haven't already be sure and give him a visit. That guy is awesome. I am still open to guest strips but I know how busy everyone is right now.
That is just a little update to what is happenin' at Gatorhead Manor right now. No drama, not a whole lot of progress and a whole lot of takin' it easy.

GUEST STRIP BY GEORGE FORD

Thanks so much to George Ford, creator of the awesome comic strip Addanac City and my favorite brat Hank. George is probably one of the funniest and most talented people I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know (on the internet or otherwise). Not only that he is also one of the nicest and most supportive of other people doing webcomics.

Check out his comics...updated daily (he is also one of the hardest working) at http://www.addanaccity.com/ Leave him a comment and tell him Bo sent you.

Excitement Fills the Air at Gatorhead

I am really excited about some things that are happening at Gatorhead. As most of you know I moved most of the comics to the Gatorhead site at http://www.gatorhead.wordpress.com/ . As most of you also know I have been whinin' and complainin' about runnin' out of back up comics on account of bein' so busy with other things. I have been busy remodeling the "Rooster Roost", my Man Cave. I am also converting one room of the man cave to a studio for drawing, painting (a new hobby of mine... see previous post) and other creative activities. In the process of doing all this I have not been drawing comics. I had enough to get me to today... and now I am completely out. I was going to catch up this weekend but I have weekend company coming and he ain't gonna want to watch me draw comics so I will still be behind.

What in the world am I excited about. Well I'm usually just excited that I woke up this morning but today something great happened. I had asked for anyone who would be willing to do a guest comic to send it to me.. His Awesomeness himself, George Ford of Addanac City Fame has generously sent me an Awesome Gatorhead comic. It is so awesome I will probably post it on both this site and the Gatorhead site on Friday. That way I can leave it up and promote it all weekend so you do not forget to come by and check it out.

TRYING NEW THINGS

This was my first painting. I figure I am still young at 60 yrs and it is not too late to learn how to do something new so I decided to try my hand at painting.

This was my second attempt and I made the tractor too close up. I should have had more surrounding it and put it on a smaller scale. I am learning from my mistakes.
